BC Place’s general policy allows small bags up to 6.5 × 8.5 inches, or clear plastic bags up to 12 × 12 × 6 inches. Exceptions may apply for medical or diaper bags. Check the specific event information for current requirements.

Whitecaps bag storage before a match

Arriving for a Vancouver Whitecaps match with a backpack or travel luggage? Plan a storage stop before heading to BC Place. IRL is an independent option at 673 Abbott Street, with drop-off and collection from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

Check the instructions for your specific match, particularly tournament or special-event fixtures. Keep your ticket and essentials with you, and allow time to walk to the gate on your ticket and pass security. Our luggage-storage service does not include stadium entry or an exemption from bag rules.

BC Lions baggage storage for game day

If you are travelling into Vancouver for a BC Lions game, you can store suitcases or larger bags before meeting friends or heading to the stadium. Standard bags are CA$10 per bag/day, taxes included. Ask about oversized items before arriving.

Plan your collection around the whole evening, including the time needed to exit the stadium. Pickup closes at 11 p.m. If a late finish or post-game plans could take you beyond that time, arrange overnight storage and next-day pickup with our team in advance.

Choose storage that fits your whole day

BC Place lists event bag check at CA$10 per piece, on a first-come basis, with the location depending on the event. IRL is a separate option for people who want to leave bags earlier in the day, combine sightseeing with an event, or arrange an overnight stay.

At IRL, standard bags are CA$10 per bag/day including taxes, with no added service fee. You also have a customer bathroom, repacking space and a local team to help with directions and food recommendations. Choose the option that fits your bag, route and collection time.

A simple plan for concerts, games and exhibitions

Drop off at 673 Abbott Street between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Ring the doorbell upon arrival, complete a quick form and head out. Look up the gate on your ticket and allow enough time to reach BC Place and pass security.

For a daytime exhibition or conference held at BC Place, storage can bridge the gap between accommodation checkout and your event. If your conference is at Vancouver Convention Centre instead, check that venue’s location when planning your journey; these are different venues.

Keep the 11 p.m. collection deadline in your plans

Ring the doorbell upon arrival. Our nearby team can usually meet you within a couple of minutes. Drop-off and pickup are available until 11 p.m.
